Coaching successful achievers and their families to purpose driven lives
I grew up in scarcity, and as a young man I promised myself that I would accomplish whatever necessary to be certain my family would never have to worry about money. Interesting enough, I learned the value of giving from my parents who, despite their circumstances, always found a way to help others.
So as I embarked on my journey in financial services, I was driven to succeed. I began my philanthropic journey at 33.
Today, as a Financial Advisor, my purpose and passion is to help successful people harness their talents, mitigate their weaknesses and guide them, their families, and the next generation to satisfying lives of purpose and meaning.
Being a financial Advisor focused on coaching means taking the time to get to know our clients, who they are, what makes them tick, and what is really important to them. I help them set clear cut goals with time frames, and then assess how aligned their behaviors and decisions are with achieving those goals. Once that model is created, I will help them see what, if any changes are needed and guide them through that process.
Nick Preddice started his financial services career more than twenty years ago, working first for Connecticut Mutual, and later for Prudential. He found success early, and was appointed Managing Director at The Mony Group, Inc. in New York City.
In 2002 Nick decided to take his experience and build a financial services business from the ground up with a singular vision: to "make a difference in the lives of our clients, the people we work with, and the community."
Nick's vision of a firm that focused on people, rather than products, led him to partner with Gary Sancilio, another industry veteran with a client-relationship focus. Together they envisioned an environment that would support collaboration with their clients' other advisors, and offer a level of service that was unprecedented. The Affinity Group, LLC was born.
For the last 14 years, The Affinity Group has played the role of "personal CFO" and provided comprehensive financial planning for business owners, executives, physicians, attorneys and other professionals who seek to overcome procrastination, a lack of time and attention, and a lack of knowledge to take control of their financial life. Today, The Affinity Group, LLC is a premier wealth management firm located in Albany and Fishkill, NY.
Nick’s philanthropic endeavors are many. He started 15 years ago when a chance invitation to a fundraiser for Wildwood, a school for autistic children, opened Nick's eyes and heart to the needs of local non-profits. Today Nick supports a number of causes including Wildwood School, The Robert W. Preddice Scholarship Fund at SUNY Oneonta, Leake & Watts, Access: Supports for Living, To Love a Child, The American Cancer Society, the Heart Association, the San Miguel Academy for Boys, the Nora Cronin School for Girls, and Mount St. Mary College.
Nick lives in Westchester County, NY, enjoys golf and spending time with his wife Lisa and his two sons.
