Our Process

Gathering Information

To start the planning process, we meet with you to learn what you hope to accomplish, to understand your personal goals, objectives, fears and risks, and to gather information about you and your family. Gathering financial data and documents can be very time consuming, so we have developed a streamlined process to obtain the necessary information at the outset. This work helps to form the basis of our planning efforts.

Analysis

Once we've gathered all of your financial and estate information, we analyze where you are in relation to what you want to accomplish. We carefully review all of your important data and build financial models for asset allocation, retirement, cash flow, college education, risk management and estate planning, along with other critical areas.

Your Financial Plan

Once your financial history has been gathered, your goals defined, and illustrations and models generated, a comprehensive and coordinated financial plan is developed to help meet your specific goals and financial objectives. Strategic advice is provided on all aspects of financial planning as well as any other specific areas you want to address, including: Cash Flow Planning, Investment Products, Retirement Planning, Risk Management, Education Funding, Executive Benefits, Business Valuations, Business Analysis, Employee Benefits, Estate Analysis, and Tax Reduction Strategies.

This plan is vital to the success of your financial goals. This is why it inherently becomes your long-term road map for financial freedom.

Ongoing Communication

One of the key benefits to utilizing our complete, objective and comprehensive financial planning solution is the ongoing communication between you and your financial planning team. We are committed to a lifetime approach to client relationship management. We firmly believe that ongoing, open communication is key to maintaining a productive relationship. Formal communication may include quarterly reviews, education sessions or newsletters. We have 4-6 scheduled meetings throughout the year, and as many phone calls and emails as needed.

Information At Your Fingertips

After your plan has been developed, you will be given access to your very own financial management website. This centralized hub provides access to several tools that help organize and protect key elements of your financial plan. A secure online repository exists to store digital copies of important personal documents such as wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and tax filings. An account aggregation feature provides a single view of all relevant financial accounts regardless of institution. Finally, a notification system alerts to important dates and events, and other triggers to help you stay connected.

Our Role

When it comes to addressing questions of finances you may seek the advice of certain professionals: an accountant, investment advisor, insurance agent, attorney or banker – or any combination thereof.

Chances are that while you may turn to several types of professionals for assistance, you are not coordinating their efforts to maximum advantage. The lack of coordination and regular, directed communication between your various advisors could be costing you time and money. That's where we come in.

Whether or not you work with a specific type of advisor, our role is not to compete with or replace any of your existing relationships. Rather, clients look to us to bring together all of the disparate pieces of their financial picture. Fewer inefficiencies and coordinated communication reduce ‘ad hoc’ decisions that might cost you time and money in the long run.

We take a proactive approach to communication, and we encourage our clients to keep in touch when questions arise or circumstances change. Sometimes our newer clients hesitate to contact us, and we have to remind them that we are here to serve their needs.

If there's one thing we know about our business, it's that problems and solutions don't work on a schedule.
